Holistic 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course

The Holistic Asana approach follows a guideline format that suggests a few basic principles to make a balanced and whole yoga class, including meditation, intention, mantra, pranayama (breathing exercises), and asana (yoga postures). We use whole yoga guidelines when developing Hatha, or Restorative classes. We can also modify the class sequences to emphasize specific Yoga postures, Merging breath, balance, flexibility, and strength, students learn self-healing techniques and find depth in their practice. What will be the Overview of Holistic Yoga for 100 Hour

Holistic Yoga Asana
  • This session will focus on training the students in the correct method of practicing asanas belonging to various families. Focus of study will be on learning the correct alignment of weight bearing, rotating and hinge joints of the body with understanding their symbiotic relationships with each other and managing the weight of the body as we move across various planes.
Pranayama
  • Pranayam methods train the students to attain the mastery over the breathing process and harmonize the flow and control of breathing. Students will coordinate the breath with the mantra, and cultivate awareness of the pranic movement within the body.
Yoga Philosophy
  • This class will prepare students to study and understand Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Once a week, students will lead a discussion reflecting on the week's readings. Before class, students should write down one question on a notecard directly related to the day's reading and give this to the teacher at the start of class.
Yoga Anatomy
  • To enable students to know the details of different bodily systems and how to correlate the techniques of yoga with the same, so as to get maximum health benefits.
Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda
  • Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda program is rooted in the alchemic power of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Psychology to support physical, mental, and spiritual health. Our healing approach is twofold.
Meditation
  • Practise of various techniques of meditation in raj yoga. It includes the practise of various meditation techniques and explanation on their method and benefits taking references from ancient texts as well as modern research papers on the benefits of meditation.
